Pregnancy and birth is a special and beautiful period in every woman’s life, or at least it should be. But what if your experiences are leaving you feeling empty, alone, heartbroken or even depressed or traumatised?

The Emotional Freedom Technique
The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or “tapping” is a great and gentle tool to help you release those trapped feelings that you just can’t seem to get rid of. This is how it works:
The first step is to find the feeling, thought or emotion you want to work on.
Let the feeling come up. Allow it. Feel it.
On a scale from 0 till 10, give it a number. How intense is it? With zero being not at all and 10 being as much has you can handle.
So for example when you think about what happened you feel tension in your stomach. And it is 9 out of 10.
2) Speak up
We put this together in a sentence, so to give you a few examples of the most common feelings.
“Even though I have this tension in my stomach, I deeply love and accept myself”
“Even though I have this sadness in my chest, I deeply love and accept myself”
“Even though I have this anger in my lower belly, I deeply love and accept myself”
When we say this sentence, we will tap on specific points of your body. Use your index and middle finger of your dominate hand, so the hand you write with.
We start at the first point, which is at your left hand. Please look at the pictures in the manual for all the 9 points. Tap about 8 to 10 times on each point and keep going until the feeling is reduced till zero.
4) Tapping points
There are number of points you can tap on.
Use the two fingers of your dominant hand to tap on your body. Tap about 8-10 times on each point.
So do one round of all the 9 points, and check in with your feeling.
You may need to do a few repetitions; you may need to do it for a few minutes each day for the next for days or weeks.
Just keep going until it’s completely gone!!
